Union Meeting Summary

CCA Ranked Faculty United had our first union meeting. We started by sharing some history and context for our current unionizing efforts along with some updates.

We then spent time talking about what we as ranked faculty would want to protect and improve at CCA. 

We ended the meeting with hearing from two guest speakers, Mia McIver, the President of CFT Universities Council, and Cameron Cartiere, President of the Emily Carr Faculty Association. 

Upcoming meetings will focus around governance and collective bargaining and more discussion on issues facing ranked renewable, tenure-track, and tenured faculty.
